Biography

Kimberly Miranda (she/her/ella) is a third year PhD student in the César E. Chávez Department of Chicana/o Studies at UCLA. She is a first-generation non-traditional Chicana college student from East Los Angeles. A Eugene V. Cota-Robles and Ford Fellow, Kimberly’s research interests unpacks the racialized and gendered dispossession that rent burdened Latinas experience through housing, tenant harassment, and eviction in Los Angeles. She is also a member of Los Angeles Center for Community Law & Action (LACCLA).
