Biography

Meg recently completed her masters in Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA with a concentration in Community Economic Development and Housing. Prior to grad school Meg spent three years researching and reporting on housing policy in Rio de Janeiro, where she worked with over a dozen favela neighborhoods facing eviction ahead of the 2016 Olympics. Since moving to LA, she has worked with NOlympics and the Renters’ Right to Counsel campaign in several capacities to promote equitable housing agendas. She hopes to refine methodologies over the course of the summer institute to support NOlympics’ “Homes Not Hotels” campaign. She currently works on redevelopment projects in Watts for the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.
