Carme Arcarazo

Carme Arcarazois an urban and housing researcher at La Hidra Institute and the spokesperson of the Barcelona Tenants Union. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics by the University of Amsterdam and a Masters in Urban and Metropolitan Studies by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She has worked as project manager in urban labs both in Mexico (Laboratorio para la Ciudad) and in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (Coboi lab). She has also been an international observer, coordinating advocacy strategies and accompanying Mexican land defenders at risk. At La Hidra she is currently working on a comparative analysis of rent control policies in Europe and North America for the European Parliament. She is also a member of Urban Front.
