DANI AIELLO

Dani Aiello is a CMHC-SSHRC postdoctoral fellow and recently joined the Faculty of Human and Social Development at the University of Victoria as a postdoctoral researcher. She is a member of The Right to Remain, a community-based research collective supporting tenant organizing in the Single Room Occupancy hotels of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. She is also an organizer with the Housing Justice League, focused on eviction defense and building power with tenants in metro Atlanta, Georgia. Through a broad-based qualitative, comparative, and community-based approach, her research examines the intimate relationships between evictions, colonialism and racial capitalism.
