Biography
Eliot Hetterly is a Project Manager at Community League of the Heights (CLOTH), a community-based organization and non-profit housing developer in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. At CLOTH, they are responsible for managing various newconstruction and rehabilitation affordable housing initiatives. Previously, Eliot worked as a policy intern for the Association for Neighborhood and Housing Development (ANHD), researching anti-displacement policy campaigns and developing ANHD’s Speculation Watchlist. Eliot’s interest in housing justice and anti-displacement work originally grew from their time in Mumbai, India studying the redevelopment of urban slums on a Fulbright grant from 2013-14. Eliot has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College at the City University of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Biology from the University of Delaware. They are from Brooklyn, New York.
